Joost Klaps is a tax lawyer with a passion for international tax law and corporate taxation.
Education
Joost obtained a Master in Law at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (2021) and is also a graduate in Tax Law & Tax Practice at the Fiscale Hogeschool Brussel (2022). In the context of an Erasmus scholarship (2020), Joost also studied for one semester at LUISS Guido Carli (Rome, Italy).
As a lawyer, Joost is associated with the Brussels Bar. He has been a member of the Cazimir team since 2022. He is Dutch-speaking, but also speaks English and French.
Practice areas
Rather than already specialising too much in a particular (tax) field or a limited niche, Joost just tries to get in touch with as many facets of tax as possible. He finds it important to first acquire a broad basic knowledge of tax practice and thus develop an affinity for a particular specialisation.
He currently focuses mainly on tax advice (including international taxation and corporate taxation).

Fiscaliteit is dermate complex, ruim en diepgaand dat een inventieve oplossing, die aangepast is aan de noden van de cliënt, de grondige expertise niet van één advocaat, maar van een multidisciplinair team behoeft.
Leisure
Cinema and films, football, fitness, occasional paddling, festivals and concerts, drinks with friends and good food - which on occasion he likes to cook for himself.
