With his preference for corporate law and mergers and acquisitions (M&A), Francis van der Haert assists and advises his clients in all aspects of corporate life.
After obtaining his Master's degree in Law from the K.U. Leuven (2004), Francis specialised in European law (Master after Master U.C. Louvain-la-Neuve) and Corporate law (Master after Master K.U. Brussels). In November 2018, Francis was included as an approved Mediator on the list of the Federal Mediation Commission.
Francis joined Cazimir in August 2019, after having gained other experience as a lawyer, corporate counsel and advisor at a Big 4 firm.
As a lawyer, Francis is a member of the Antwerp Bar. He works in the offices of Diegem and Antwerp and occasionally in the offices of Ghent and Kortrijk.
Francis is bilingual French/Dutch and has a thorough professional knowledge of English.
Francis has already gathered specific knowledge and experience to optimally assist his clients in setting up companies, establishing shareholder agreements, buying and selling companies, setting up corporate, financing or acquisition structures, joint ventures, capital contributions, restructurings such as mergers and demergers, and so on.
As a recognized mediator, Francis mines conflicts between shareholders, for example.
Francis is a regular speaker at seminars and workshops organized by professional federations, employers' organizations and training centers.
